The Independence in Charlottesville is Top Notch! The Office Team is very professional, caring and the Community is well maintained! I highly recommend this Senior Living Community.

Whenever I am at The Independence, I see seniors living active joyful lives. Often you can see them loading into the shuttle bus going off on an adventure or gathered together participating in an organized event. There are several ways that The Independence encourages healthy living whether that is through exercise such as chair yoga or checking in at the weekly blood pressure screening. The robust offering of activities, both social and educational, create a sense of community and belonging. It is obvious that the residents enjoy where they live!

The INDEPENDENCE is an independent living community located in the Pantops area of Charlottesville, VA. Residents are billed as being '55 or Better.' Common areas are attractively decorated, bright and cheerful. Current staff members are friendly and competent from top to bottom of the chart. There is regular turnover as people age and need to move on to an assisted living community. Otherwise, the tenancy is stable. There is an organized program of Residents activities, managed by a full-time director. Van transport is provided several days each week for shopping and medical appointments when people give up driving. The grounds are well landscaped and well-maintained. The Independence is a truly independent living space for older adults (55+). Many reidents have experienced life's highs and lows, but are still living their lives as people who can care for themselves, their spouses/loved ones and participate in community activities that make them happy, and INDEPENDENT.

Maintenance is very good. There are many activities, something for everyone. The staff truly goes out of their way to listen.
