After several months of visiting senior living facilities , we committed to Templeton of Cary. From the sales staff to the Executive Director, the process has been efficiently handled. Our questions have been addressed in a timely manner, and once we moved in, each branch from Concierge, to Maintenance, to Dining, Recreation and Housekeeping have worked together to make our days pleasant and fulfilling. Residents and serving staff alike are friendly and welcoming. My husband and I have no regrets for our choice and are hopeful this will be our last move.
I arrived on February 25, 2025. Came 13 months after my wife’s passing; we’d been in Cary since 1975. Love, Cary and consider myself a Cary-ite. Initially, the plan was to bring my wife to assisted living since she had had Alzheimer’s, but life changed. After she passed, the loneliness factor kicked in, despite having my son and daughter and families close by. I needed the presence and the vibrance of people And I found all of that at the Templeton. When I came, I only knew Jerry Miller, and his wife Jean, but since then I’ve made so many good friends. Kudos to all!
Lots and lots of activities to choose from – the choices are mine to make. Wellness classes are varied and skill-based: easier to more difficult. Life Enrichment is just that! I look forward to seeing what the new monthly ones are. Outside excursions have been interesting and fun, from local nurseries to wine orchards to a day at the Carolina Beach! Staff is kind, thoughtful, and loving. I’m so glad my spiritual life is included here also, from Catholic communion to Bible study to non-denominational service. Best thing of all – I’m close to my family, but I’m an independent individual also. My family is happy that I’m happy. Oh! I could go on and on… It’s a joy to be around others who are excited about living a rich older life and being with others. I have a new family here at The
My mom moved to The Templeton of Cary and absolutely loves it! From the moment she arrived, she was welcomed into a warm and caring community. She's been able to stay active in her faith through Bible study and communion, which has meant so much to her. She also enjoys a wide variety of activities—from card games and water aerobics to chair yoga and engaging mental exercises. She often tells me how much she enjoys the outings to theaters, garden centers, and local restaurants, and I’m so happy she’s staying social and stimulated. The food is amazing, and there always seems to be a fun event or celebration happening—it truly feels like there’s always something to look forward to. It gives me such peace of mind to have her close by and thriving. Honestly, when I get older, I hope I can liv
