Thrifty Car Rental - Akron - Canton Regional Airport

Charged me a repair fee for the windshield repair and never inspected the car when I picked it up and didn’t inspect it when I dropped it off. Like most car rental places inspects the car/truck with the renter before they even pull off the lot and they also inspect it when you drop it off but that didn’t happen. When I picked the car the inly thing the agent did was offer an upgrade for $10 a day which I accepted. I then was given the keys to vehicle and told to get from slot F15. No one walked out with me to inspect the car and no one was at the desk when I dropped it off. So car inspected after I left and I waited for almost a half hour for some one to show up at service desk but no one came so some one from Budget/Enterprise/Avis car rental told to just put the keys in the drop box and

Car was dirty on the inside. Still had trash in it (partially used drink cans, trash from a previous renter, sativa packages). Car kept notifying us that an oil change was due. Lastly, check in took 45-60mins AFTER rental time to receive the rental. I still have not received my final bill yet.

Got a car from Thrifty for a weekend trip to Cleveland. Plane showed up on time. As we went down to the desk to pick up the car we check-in in via the text they had send us but when we got to the desk (15 minutes after the plane landed)THERE WAS NO ONE THERE. The lady at the Hertz desk day they went home already. It was 8pm on a Friday evening. There were three other people on the flight that got screwed as well. We called the customer service line and for 45 minutes and just had hold music. Luckily, Max at Enterprise was able to set us up. Of course, it cost $60 more. Just got off of the phone with customer service, they said they will refund our charges (in 7 to 10 days, of course) but will not reimburse us for the additional money we had to spend with Enterprise. Reserved a Hyundai Santa Fe (or similar) which has three rows and fits 7 passengers. However my confirmation email should Chevy Equinox which is not the same size as a Santa Fe as only seats 5. Called the company and they said it is because of the low inventory numbers. Said my only option was to book through their other company and pay for money for what I originally booked. Stay away from this place.

Avoid this place like the plague, I returned the vehicle early after being told by thrifty I would receive a refund all that needed to be done is call a number once I returned the car 5 days early called the number they said I was giving the wrong information. So they did a successful bait and switch do not trust this company. Every place you call gives you another number and say that it's on this place and that place they do a never ending circle to you give up. Im filing a complaint with the better Business Bureau for them scamming me out of my money for the early return.
