Touch of Gold

I made an appointment for 10:00 am to get my windows tinted. I arrived at 9:45 and the only person there was vacuuming a car. He ignored me until at 10:00 am I walked to him and told him why I was there. He stepped away and called someone and then returned and said the person doing the tint would be there in 5-10 minutes. By 10:10 the person still wasn’t there, so I left. Made an appointment with a business that may not be locally owned, but I know I’ll be treated as if my time is as important as their’s.

Stopped by to talk to someone about possibly purchasing a battery driven golf cart for our place at Innsbrook. John is the builder of the carts and owner of Touch of Gold detailing on Macklind. He explained that he builds them from the bottom up. You can have the cart customized with headlights, cupholders and safety bars extra seats and paint color. This was a very successful and informative trip. He also delivers to the Village of Innsbrook a bonus.

So I decided to go with a local shop to tint my Moms windows and they looked ok but then I saw a dark streak in the back window and I asked the owner what it was. He said it’s black marker to fill in where he messed up and cut the tint wrong. He literally filled in where he messed up with a Permanent marker. I’ve had windows tinted before many times and never seen or heard anything like that and the owner gets made at me and told me that tint places always use markers to fill in spots. No they do not! He charged me top dollar for the worst tint job I’ve ever seen. He did re do the back window that had marker on it but still he used marker to fill in the tint of my window in the first place. I had a great experience with this company. They did an INCREDIBLE job detailing the inside of my car for a very reasonable rate. They are very polite and respectful. Will definitely be back!

You will never find a more honest, and down to earth person anywhere. Helped me with an oil change on my Kawasaki Mule, and checked tires and much more. Wish there were more small businesses like this one!
