Michael is a rare gem of a mechanic. Very knowledgeable and experienced. Able to explain both the theory and the practice of the operation of transmissions. He is focused on what is best for his customers and gave me excellent service and advice. This will be the first transmission shop I'll ever visit in the future in Reno.

Evidently, this business is highly rated and has its fair share of satisfied customers, and that's great; this is just me sharing my own personal experience with TransCraft that was sadly not so great. The place was high recommended to me as someone who is overdue for a full transmission flush on my vehicle. And I live very much nearby so I thought "okay perfect". This past Monday, 3/24/25, I went in to try and schedule an appointment, be quoted a price, etc. Turned out the owner was at lunch and is the only one allowed to do scheduling. I left my name, contact info and vehicle info on a piece of paper per the instruction of one of the employees and was told I'd be contacted later in the day and that the next available appointments were for 4/3 or 4/4, which would would work great for me.

The best experience I have ever had at a repair shop. Michael, the owner, was very knowledgeable and professional, but most of all is down to earth and explains everything. I brought my Ram 2500 to him after going to another shop that wanted to install a new transmission for a lot of money. Michael diagnosed the problem and fixed it in less than a day and for a very reasonable price. Don’t waste your time with any other shop, go to Transcraft first!
