I had a very disappointing experience with Travelers Insurance. They declined my claim with little to no meaningful explanation, despite me providing all requested documentation. The process felt one-sided and frustrating from start to finish. Customer service was extremely unhelpful and difficult to work with. It felt like once they had my money, there was no real interest in supporting me when I actually needed help. Communication was poor, and I was constantly having to follow up myself.

I have never felt more dehumanized in my life. My claim was denied because I didn’t “keep my vomit” as proof. Literally is what I was told. That requirement is absurd, degrading, and completely disconnected from reality. Not only that, the hospital wouldn't have even let me keep it if I tried. This company prioritizes technicalities over humanity. Insurance is supposed to help people in vulnerable moments and protect the victim. This company did the opposite.

I was hit from behind by one of Travelers' customers and have had to rattle their cages for 3 months to get everything done. Several times I was told it would take 3 or 4 days to get a supplemental repair estimate approved but it would be done in less than 30 minutes when I asked for their manager. The agent assigned to my claim was almost non-existent until I took it up the ladder as well. I was told to get a Devaluation Report that I had to pay $450 for in order to get them to make restitution on my loss in value, and then they wouldn't pay what I was owed. Apparently the supervisor put a cap on what they would pay, and I could accept it or go through more expense by taking them to small claims court. They count on you settling to avoid the hassle. Their insured hit me (merged into the side of my car after they drove straight through their right turn only lane and didn’t stop or check to see if there was someone in the lane they were merging into already) and the adjuster did not respond for three weeks after taking my statement when she said she should have a decision in a day. Now she’s saying since their own customer has ghosted them and won’t verify inconsistencies, they’re just going to deny liability. I did call the police after the accident and am working on getting that report. I uploaded pictures of the damage and the crash site but it’s like they won’t even look at the physical evidence and just want to quit trying since their insured is irresponsible and so they can get out of paying for damage that insurance is meant to p

Travelers basically tried to punish me for submitting a roof claim. The process was unsettling and then my next policy doubled. It was difficult to switch because of my claim. (Which is odd because it was my only claim in 6 years and the roof was now new) then the next year it doubled again. My policy was 3 times the amount I was able to get from anywhere else. I was finally able to switch out.
