Counter staff was very pleasant and helpful while scheduling several vehicles for state inspection. While having pleasant conversation with them they mentioned they didn't know if they would continue to do state inspections. I asked why and it was explained that to many people do their own work and they couldn't make a living just doing inspections. That if people wanted to do their own work they would just have to find somewhere else for their inspection. I was surprised to hear this as the state inspection is not intended as a way for shops to generate work. After hearing this said by the counter guy and realizing that they expect to generate work from state inspections, I politely declined finishing setting up the appointments.
