Troy's Auto Repair

My father’s transmission began acting up. It was shuddering, not shifting. Researched what the cost would be to fix it. Anywhere between 2000 to 5000. Dad is 89 yea and can’t afford that kind or repair. Troy said he would look at it. Called a few days later and sad the car was ready. Instead of taking advantage of the situation hee reprogrammed the transmission control mode and charged my father $150. Drives better than it has since dad purchased it. Highly recommended for quality honest service.

My car’s rear shock became disconnected on a road trip to the area from West Palm Beach, FL. I called this shop and they were able to fit me in last min. On a holiday weekend so I can return home on time! He was reasonable with price and very friendly! I recommend them 10000%! It’s so hard to find a nice mechanic and especially when you aren’t from here! Thank you for the welcome and for fixing my car! You saved me!

You get what you get when you can't do the work yourself. But, it was done the next day which I appreciate, however the work and price we never discussed was just a surprise and it was a HUGE surprise and I am familiar with pricing. Pleased about the timeliness of completion, but if I would of known the cost, i would of opted to pay the tow truck who took it there, to bring it right back to my house, that's how expensive it was. Just short of $1,000 to replace an automatic shifter cable and a thermostat housing, gasket, thermostat that no one ever discussed anything more than a pressure test for the coolant system. Could of done it myself had I had the time for less than $400. And that is paying myself $85 an hour to do my own work. will not ever be back. One screwing is good enough for

Not being from the area, I had traveled alone to Lenoir City to look at a used car that I was thinking about buying. During my test drive I passed Troy's. I took a shot in the dark and went in. I explained that I was test driving a car and was interested in having someone check it over for me since I didn't know a lot about mechanics. I fully expected to be rejected, and I would have rightfully understood, however to my surprise Troy took me in and took the time to thoroughly inspect the car, showing me everything as he went along. I was so very impressed with him, his very kind demeanor, his knowledge, and his professionalism. Wow, what a great man! I don't live near his shop but if I did he would have a customer for life with me, that's for sure! Thank you Troy for so graciously a

If you are looking for a mechanic, look no further. I had multiple so called professionals look at my daughters vehicle and no one could find the problem. Troy had it on the road for five minutes and knew exactly what the issue was. It was fixed and good as new. Troy now has a permanent repeat customer.
