U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer

I rented a truck from them and drove less than 20 miles. They billed me for 70 miles. They said that they use a picture of milage from previous user instead of going out and getting the milage before you use the truck. According to them, the truck had not been used in months yet it was parked right next to office not in the back. Instead of paying 50, I had to pay over 200. The owner refuses to work with me on correcting this situation. The truck was probably being driven by employees or they lost the info from previous user. Either way, why would a business not check the milage before you rent to make sure it is correct? As a single mom, I need every cent I earn and not have to give it to a business that has such inconsistent billing practices. Why does the customer have to be responsib

They could not be bothered to have someone hear during normal business hours so I had to download an app take a headshot and let them track my location the entire time for some reason. And I had to wait longer while they try and approve me because they didn't want to have someone here to help me. I had to get my key out of a lock box.

Truck was a little muddy from the recent storm and the milage/gas was off, but the guy working there helped me figure out how to adjust it. Overall, truck ran well, return was easy and the customer service was great!

Stay away. Middle of nowhere, guy doing checking didn't have access to U-Haul system. Not uhaul branded and they lost keys. It is a towing company that also does uhaul, not the best customer experience. For a pre check-in customer spend 25 minutes waiting for uhaul and was the only person there.
