Uncle Ed's Oil Shoppe

My car was serviced by two young employees and both were awesome! They knew what to do - were focused and efficient - and good at communicating the info. Bonus - they alerted me to a tire problem - told me to go straight to the dealer and saved me from a tire blowout! Also - as a female who doesn’t know much about cars - I really enjoyed having a female technician - just felt more comfortable asking questions 👍. Good employees!

Had my oil changed Christmas Eve at Uncle Ed's on Washtenaw. There was no line and we were served pretty quickly. Turned down additional services like changing the air filter. We were done in about ten ish minutes. Was impressed as I've never been here before. A week later - I noticed a burning smell coming from my car - thought it was pretty odd and had my dad check it out. The only thing he saw that was off was that my brake fluid was a little low. This was New Year's Day so most places were closed. Turns out once I got my car into my regular mechanic they checked out the smell and they found the valve cover and upper half of my engine were covered in oil. My mechanic said the oil change folks spilled oil while filling and didn't clean it up. He said that it's easy to do and he's done it

Jimmy performed absolutely outstanding service this morning. He was polite, efficient and meticulous and everything that he did to my car. It was truly outstanding service. The two technicians who worked on my car (engine cleaner, oil change, wiper blade replacement, etc.) were very professional and very knowledgeable. I appreciated the full summary of what the manufacturer recommends and when. I also appreciated their ability to address all my questions on what the service would entail.
