Warning: Questionable Business Practices – Avoid This Shop Valley Auto Repair & Smog Station appears to engage in deceptive business practices. I was told the smog check would cost $40 and only be charged if the vehicle passed. However, unlike other smog check locations that perform a quick pre-check and notify you of issues without charging, this shop proceeded with the full test without any warning and then claimed the car failed—demanding $40 for the failed test and refusing to release the vehicle unless I paid. To make matters worse, they offered a “generous” deal to retest for half price—another $20—making it clear they were trying to extract more money under the guise of being helpful. Valley Auto Repair & Smog Station (Frank) 200 Valley Blvd. Alhambra I don’t believe this business earned a 5 stars rating! I hadn’t gone to have my vehicle service at this VALLEY AUTO & SMOG STATION many years ago because they ruined my air conditioning which cost me money. I ended up selling my car. The basic engine oil service but turned out to be a major air conditioning service!!! To save you the money and headache, go somewhere else.

Went there before 8am on a Saturday but 5 people are already waiting. Why? Because they are fair and honest. Amazing service. They will tell you outright if they can do it or not. Thank you Frank and your great Team!
