While visiting the National Forest area, my truck broke down and needed to be towed to a shop on a Friday evening. Since I was only in the area for a few days, I was very concerned about getting my truck fixed in a timely manner and was a little worried about maybe being taken advantage of knowing my predicament. However, when I called Saturday morning to follow up, Terry the owner was already taking care of identifying the problem, ordering parts and giving me an estimated time for pickup. I told him of my dilemma of how I was going to get there to get my truck since I was in Lead and they were in Spearfish and I had my dog with me who couldn't be left alone at my rental cabin. They were kind enough to deliver the truck to me, conducting a test drive on the way! A fair price for the fix,

Front main seal replacement. It was done timely, work was top notch, and price was more than reasonable

Terry is a hell of a mechanic and an honest guy. He got my son's truck going on the road again and we are thoroughly grateful!

I never write reviews. My truck rolled in to the shop belching white smoke and a messy mixture of transmission fluid / oil out the bottom. Terry came out during a blizzard last week, crawled under my truck, and had a solution on order within 10 minutes. Guy gave me a ride home, fixed it at a reasonable cost, and just generally did a great job. Brought her back from the dead and I’m super thankful because I love that truck.

We were traveling through Spearfish and needed a diagnosis on our engine issues- was recommended Valley Auto and we called and they worked us in pretty quickly! they were able to do testing and find our problem in 30-40 minutes. We travel in our RV- we are able to drop the RV across the street from the shop and hang out there while our truck was being tested. Dan was so nice and very straight forward! He even walked me through how to fix my problem since they were only able to do a diagnosis. Absolutely recommend this company! Thanks again, Dan!
