Valvoline Instant Oil Change

My son recently took his car in for an oil change. The car went in completely fine and comes out of the bay with a check engine light on as well as the abs light!!! They told him something accidentally got unplugged during the oil change and it would eventually reset itself. I called to get a more detailed explanation of what happened and you are sent to a customer service center not anyone at the location who could offer us an explanation. Needless to say we are very unhappy with our experience and we would not recommend this place to anyone!!!

I used to have great experiences at the Valvoline on Plank Road in Fredericksburg. The staff was friendly, quick, and professional. However, since new management took over, the location no longer honors Groupons, which I had purchased in good faith before the change in ownership. When I went to use my Groupon, I was told it could not be accepted due to the new management, even though it was still valid and listed for this specific location. Now, unless I want to drive 45 minutes away, I can’t use what I already paid for. While I understand new ownership can bring new policies, this change leaves loyal customers stuck with unusable purchases. It would be great if Valvoline corporate or the new management could honor existing Groupons purchased before the transition or provide a credit/ref

I'll give them credit for the convenience of the oil change (you don't leave your car and it only takes a few min) but you will be barraged with sales pitch after sales pitch. Rotate tires, maintenance for this and that, etc. They pulled out both my air filters (engine and cabin) ostensibly just to show me that they're dirty and try to sell a replacement. They actually asked whether they could look at the cabin filter, I said no, then they did it anyway and struggled to put the cover back on. Got new oil, sure, but it was neither cheap (~$140 full synthetic) nor a pleasant experience. I will not be going back.

Service was quick. They showed me my engine air filter which I declined because I normally do it myself for cheaper. The worker than said he could do it for a lower price which ended up being typically what I buy them for anyways. Good deal

I was in need of am oil change and air in my tires. Unfortunately, despite asking twice i never got the air topped up in my tire. I left with the low air pressure. Otherwise, I had good service. It cost $96 for the premium oil which was Valvoline type, full synthetic. I haven't checked the oil level but suppose I need to.
