Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I had an excellent experience during my recent visit. The manager and his crew were friendly, professional, and true subject‑matter experts. They explained everything clearly, worked efficiently, and made the entire service feel smooth and trustworthy. I really appreciated the level of care and expertise they brought to the job.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this Valvoline location. From the start, the guy in the pit was yelling like a maniac while working under my car. The tech dropped the air filter housing bolts into the engine bay, only found one, stripped the threads, and instead of fixing or replacing them just let me leave with no bolts securing the filter. They also ripped a vacuum line loose and said nothing. On top of that, they used an impact drill on my skid plate bolts, likely stripping out even more threads, and didn’t give me any paperwork at all for the service. When I got home, I discovered oil leaking all over the bottom of my engine. Who knows what else I’ll find wrong tomorrow. Traveling in Hershey discovered oil was low. The staff was welcoming and apologized for the brief wait time. I felt cared for and appreciated. Helped me locate the coupon I had received via email. Were patient and kind with me, someone who knows very little about cars.

This is really not a review I wanted to leave but I feel it necessary. I exclusively use Valvoline all over the country as I travel and never have I had an issue. This wasn’t the case here and I just hope no issues arise from this as I travel. I stopped in for an oil change before moving on in my travels. The first thing I noticed was the lady with manager on her tag was on her phone as she directed me into the bay. She then just opened the door to scan without any acknowledgment whatsoever. She then told me the didn’t have the 5W20 oil but they could use the other recommended oil weight of 5W30. I agree and specified synthetic blend high mileage. Next she took my mileage which she entered incorrectly. I caught this later and had her change it. She then asked me if I wanted my lights and

Every time I visit this location I am greeted immediately, everyone at this location is friendly and extremely respectful. As a female, I despise having to get anything done with my vehicle, because I feel like I’m always pressed to buy something or told something is wrong and it’s annoying. I never feel this way here, which is why I try to return here as often as possible. I travel often for the Army and sometimes I cannot make it to this location, but I will hold out as long as I can specially to get my oil changed here.
