Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I usually handle my own oil changes, but it was just too cold this time around. The experience was quick and straightforward, drove in, answered a handful of questions, and drove right out. They did attempt to upsell a few additional services and made some items sound more urgent than they probably were, but I stuck to what I came for: an oil change and transmission fluid service. Overall, it was fast, convenient, and not a bad experience.

My visit was routine until the technician began explaining my battery’s cold cranking amps. I asked if I could call my boyfriend so he could better understand the explanation, since I’m not great at re-explaining technical details. The technician responded that it was fine because I was “just a girl.” I remained polite and completed my oil change, but that comment was unnecessary and unprofessional. Customers should be treated with respect regardless of gender. I hope this is addressed so others don’t have a similar experience.

I waited 47 minutes for the oil change only for them to tell me then that my oil is not carried at the location. I even called ahead I received their robot to pre confirm after being hung up 3 times i got a representative who told me to go ahead and drive to the location by the time I got there waited there were no other oil change places open. I understand not having it but I don’t understand making me wait 7 minutes let alone 47 minutes to tell me that. Inconsiderate I left a sick parent to do this I’ve never been more frustrated

I was very impressed by the detailed information I received. Michael was friendly, ethical, transparent, and incredibly knowledgeable about my vehicle. Maurice, thank you so much for helping me navigate my manual transmission to get service your patience meant a lot. Both of these men treated me with genuine respect and professionalism.

The Gentleman’s in Bay Area 2 Michael & Christian and Manager John did a great customer service. I got my transmission fluid and radiator. They were professional and answered all the questions I had. It was busy and at no point the job felt rushed. 100% Recommend! Happy New year! 🎉🎉🎉
