Vista Park Retirement Community

When my mom passed away, my dad was in a 3 bedroom house alone. He was taking falls on a regular basis, It was time for dad to move, not into assisted living but independent living. I stopped by and was immediately impressed! Wendy Basil immediately impressed me. This was definitely the place my dad needed to be. I had looked into 2 other places but never visited them. I took my dad on a tour and he was sold immediately as well. He is monitored for falls, he is given 3 meals a day, a 24 hour pantry is available, 24 hour ice cream and the managers, Tylyn and Tad Weight are a hands on management team. Excellent community. New spacious units, pet friendly and helpful competent managers and staff. I have been here one year and I've met dozens of neighbors whom all enjoy the many activities and outings provided. It is also located in a nice residential neighborhood.

Good overall - better than most other communities of this type, with costs on the lower side. Food has improved a lot with all new chef's lately. Isn't really "all inclusive" for cleaning or maintenance.

Not clean, not friendly, my mom end of days was pure neglected, only hospice was competent and compassionate

15 months ago Jim and I moved to Vista Park. We were tired of shopping, cooking and cleaning. Now we enjoy a delicious variety of meals prepared by our talented chef and served by our caring helpful staff. There is always a great selection on our soup and salad bar. Our cleaning staff keeps our apartment and the whole facility spotless. This leaves us with time to choose from the many activities available. Exercise classes in the gym, billiards, card games of all kinds, bingo, cornhole, chair volleyball, craft and painting classes. There are so many more that we have a hard time deciding.
