Walmart Auto Care Center

I got a flat tire at 6:45 and they were the only ones open. I came in and they were so gracious to fix my tire and stay late. They really saved me and I have very much appreciate it. Claire at the front desk was super kind. Many thanks to everybody!!!

On May 12, 2025, I went to Walmart Auto Care Center #928 (845 Durbin Pavilion Dr, Saint Johns, FL) for a regular oil change. After the service, I drove just a short distance and parked to go back into the store. When I returned to my vehicle minutes later, I saw a large puddle of oil under the car. I opened the hood and found oil had leaked from the oil filter, which had been installed incorrectly. Oil had spilled over the top of the engine, the timing belt, wiring, and electrical connectors — and was still dripping. I immediately drove back to the service center and showed them the issue. Staff confirmed the filter had been installed wrong, but only wiped off the top of the engine and refused to clean the rest. The worst service imaginable. I'm not surprised the reviews here are bad. I'll tell you about my experience today (briefly). I came in for an oil change and tire rotation (I'd made two appointments beforehand). After the service was completed (1:30 a.m.), they gave me a report stating that the oil they replaced was completely different (I use the premium Mobile1 5w30, but they filled mine with Castrol 5w20). After I commented, they started to argue that I didn't understand anything and that this was just my choice (apparently it's a trademark too). They also told me that it's not the seller's responsibility to provide information about what they're selling you, but the buyer's responsibility to disclose everything, otherwise they'll fill you with whatever they think is best. Let me just say that KJ was the best! After Hadassah went to look for my oil and claimed to not find it. Then proceeded to cancel my appointment KJ with great expertise helped me find the right oil for my oil change. He also got me back in at my original time and I couldn’t be more happy and grateful for him doing that. He is truly amazing! Everyone there should strive to be as helpful as he was!

When scheduling for an appointment, allot an extra hour or two for your service to be completed. Don’t expect your service to even start until over an hour after the expected finish time. Workers at the register were fine and polite enough for walmart employees, if a bit slow.
