I brought my cars to this shop for years. Brothers Steve and Gary own the place. They are absolute top-notch mechanics, and they're kind and reasonable businessmen, too. They are a pleasure to deal with, and I was very safe in their care. I don't patronize them because I no longer live or work in a location convenient to their shop. I recommend the shop highly. I went there to get an estimate for repairs to my vehicle and no estimates were given. Mechanic says he doesn't want to be held to a written estimate in case the work costs more. Other places have clauses written into their estimates for that. Hence the word "ESTIMATE" as opposed to invoice. I told him what work I knew the car needed and was pessimistic about being able to perform it. Then I presented a different car which is a Saab. He seems to be a former Saab mechanic having a few early and late model SAABs on the lot. Again very pessimistic. Citing the age of the car as an antique and parts are hard to find, etc. Owning the car that I have for years I don't need to be told things I already know too well. If I'm offering to give him two cars to repair I'm expecting to leave a big chunk

I called this shop because I've driven past it multiple times and noticed the abundance of Saabs on site. I had a problem with the front end of my 2000 Saab 9-3 and haven't been able to figure it out, so I thought this shop might be worth a try. Being a part of the Saab scene for decades, I expected a friendly voice. The person I spoke to on the phone was incredibly difficult and unfriendly. When I asked if he specialized in Saabs he replied in a manner that sounded like he doesn't even like them and was not interested in working on them, saying there aren't many left, and my car is "old". When I told him how many miles were on it, he said, "we'll have fun with that", which is just what you want to hear from a mechanic.
