I've been a customer at West Penn for all of my vehicle maintenance, but after a recent visit, I won’t be returning. During an oil change and tire rotation, they called and told me a stud was over-tightened. I pointed out that I’ve only ever had work done at their shop; logically, it would have been one of their own mechanics. They immediately denied any responsibility, claiming it couldn't have been them. Rather than argue, I accepted their explanation at face value, and paid my bill in full and respectfully let them know that I’d no longer be bringing my business there. They left a typed letter and $20 in cash under the invoice on my front seat; not as a sincere gesture, but as a passive-aggressive parting shot.
