I have a 1987 Westfalia and live in Wilmington, NC. I'm grateful for for my mechanic here, but there was something going on with my suspension that he could not figure out, and did not have the tools. I could only find two other shops in NC and Wes called me right back. They inspected my Westy and walked me through what they found. Cracked fuel lines, power steering leaks, ghetto power steering line patch job, way over due tune-up, cracked sway bar mounts and more. They repaired the main issue, rear axles, tune-up, and fuel lines. They made me feel like family and any woman will feel safe with Wes & Nathan.
Westy is Awesome for VW buses. There are mechanics who work on cars. And there are Artists who work on cars. West is an Artist, bring your VW bus to him. And hope he'll take you on. And if you don't have your Westfalia yet, Westy's the guy to find you a great one.
Bought my Westy in Sep, drove across the country from FLA to AZ to get it. There aren’t very many VW/Subaru shops in FLA if any. Found Westy Motorwerks in a broad map search. BEST SHOP IN THE SOUTHEAST. These guys are the real deal - they’re honest, down to earth, and just really cool! My bus runs like brand new - couldn’t be happier and more confident behind the wheel of my 37 year old VW! This is my GO TO shop for anything Vanagon. You will not be disappointed - Wes, Nathan, Mike and the crew will take care of all your needs. They literally can do anything!
Traveling 17000 plus miles. Pulled into sisters driveway and fire. WESTY MOTORWERKS determined electrical, rebuilt the harness, encased all wiring, added fuse box to prevent recurring. Subaru franken with 5MT and need new clutch that was not stock. Figured it out and replaced. Wes and Nathan know their shit. Very pleased with detail and service. Highly recommend!!!!
Westy has been taking care of my car for over a year now and I absolutely love my mechanic. He's fast. Accurate. Accessible. Most importantly, an honest man. I totally trust him. Whatever he says my car needs, I trust him 110%. I'm grateful for him.
