My husband brought his car in to get fixed on Tuesday because our usual shop was booked up. Fine. They ordered the part and quoted my husband $440 with parts and labor, and told him they would be working on it yesterday morning, first thing. They called in the afternoon yesterday to let us know that the part had not yet arrived and it would be done by noon today. Fine. We did not receive a call that it was finished until almost 1pm today AND the total charges were $554 because there was "a nut and bolt here or there and some extra labor". They spoke with my husband twice between the initial cost given and pickup and did not mention it being more expensive. They did not ask us if the extra $114 would be a problem.
