I brought my 1983 Pontiac Trans Am here for a battery/alternator check. The hood had never had any issues prior to this visit and has been opened many times over the past two years at other shops, including Wrench Monkeys, CJ Transmission, Mavis, AutoZone, and Elite Auto, with no problems. During this visit, the employee told me to open the hood. It did not open fully, and instead of stopping, he forced it open. After that, the hood would no longer close properly. The latch is now bent and shifted on the passenger side. When I reported the damage, I was told it would need to be “investigated” to see if I was being truthful, and I was directed to call corporate on Monday. I never could imagine myself saying this, but I have to. I went into your store on Lecanto Boulevard and it was such a great surprise to see a young woman working there! Her name is Marie. I told her my light came on saying check engine. She plugged the tool in and sure enough I needed a battery, but that's not all. She sold me the battery AND she put it in for me unbelievable! That's something I could never do. We chatted for a few minutes about why she got a job in a male dominate position. Marie said that she loves the job. Next week she's going to help me pick out floor mats for my car and a couple other accessories, that she suggested. Now it is a pleasure to go in that store.
