If you ever need help with your vehicle, make the drive to the Advance Auto Parts in Selma. Do not stop at the one in Smithfield. I got home one day, turned my truck off, and instantly lost all power. I jumped it off and drove straight to the store. They tested the battery and alternator, and both “passed,” but they couldn’t tell me what was actually wrong. When I got home, I grabbed my multimeter—2.7 volts on the battery. I pulled the battery out and put it on a slow charge overnight. The next morning it showed it had “sulfated” and charged up to 12 volts. But as soon as I put it back in the truck, it dropped to 2.5 volts. I jumped the truck again, and with it running, the system was at 13.5 volts. I revved it to 2,000 RPM for a minute, let off, and the truck died. Battery voltage fell

Very friendly and quick service. I needed a new battery put in my car and Thah I think is how you spell his name was friendly and quick on a very cold windy day. Highly recommended!

The battery light started flashing on my car as I heading out of town towards Angier so I decided I better go to the parts store to get the battery checked and or replaced. I was at the corner of brightleaf and market Street and the car literally died. Walked over to the store bought new battery ,they loaned me the tools on grace, I changed the battery and brought the core back with the tools. Very friendly and courteous staff have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Fidel the store Manager was very friendly, informative and helpful. He helped me get a new battery, I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. I’ll be back for any needs in the future! Would recommend this location to anyone.
