Automotive Care Specialists

I’m giving two stars simply because I never even got to get the information I called for. I called on a Monday and was told I’d receive a call back. I did not which isn’t a big deal. It’s a business it happens more frequently than not, however when I called back I wasn’t even given any other response other than “we’re extremely busy I don’t think we’re going to be able to get to you soon”. Two stars for not even giving me a chance to give you my business or even providing a quote or info on how to obtain said quote. Maybe in the future I’ll be able to give a better review but for now I’ll go where my business is at least considered.

My A/C quit blowing cold on my way home from work, pulled into Automotive Care Specialist with no appointment. Went into their office and was met by a very nice lady named Kim, she got a mechanic to check my a/c out with no wait at all. They were very honest told me what the problem was and how much it would cost in less than 30 minutes. They were ready to do the fix right then and even offered me a ride if I wanted to leave it. I told them I would bring it back the next morning and they said they would get right on it. I was so impressed with them I had them take care of some maintenance items that needed to be done also (power steering fluid flush/change, transmission fluid flush/change and filter, front and rear differential oil service) Very impressed at how fast they got everything do

I recently brought my truck to Automotive Care Specialists in Baytown. I did not have an appointment, but they were able to not only fit me in to check out the problem, but they were also able to fix it right there (bad timing belt and idlers). The mechanic was kind enough to take pictures on his phone of the problem and show me. He also took the time to take care of a few other minor problems with my truck free of charge. The receptionist was very polite and made sure I was comfortable while I waited. I am new to Texas so everyone was very friendly in giving suggestions about the area. The price was reasonable and the wait time was only the time it took for them to make the repair, my truck did not sit without being looked at or worked on for more than the 5 minutes it took me to ch

I give this place 3 stars because they did identify and fix my car problem really quickly. BUT I suspect that was because they aren't real busy because they are so OVER PRICED compared to other mechanics.That price does come with a one year warranty. But the warranty is not optional which means you can't not include it to make your bill cheaper. They also over price their replacement parts they buy you by nearly double and will not let you go buy the part yourself and to just put in for you. These same circumstances happened to us twice. I also noticed the bill they gave did not show how many hours they spent working on my vehicle which makes the labor charge seem completely random (and is probably also over priced). DO NOT GO HERE! I was charged $90 for them to put my car on a lift and look up, they then said they would have to drop my fuel tank which would cost me $300 just to look for the problem. I said no, that I thought there was a recall on the vehicle and was taking it to a dealership. Before I picked up the car I received two calls from this mechanic saying there was no recall or coverage on my vehicle, they said they talked to the dealership. Well I also talked to the dealership. I got a complete recall on my vehicle for no cost by the dealership. !
