AutoZone Auto Parts

A friend's Chevy Silverado wouldn't start on Christmas Eve. We were able to figure out that it needed a cam position sensor. I called Auto Zone in Grand Forks and they had the part available. It was 6:30 and they were supposed to close at 7:00. I told them I was 30 minutes away and coming to pick it up. When I was about 10 minutes away, I called and asked if they could wait a couple minutes for me. They said they couldn't. I walked up to the store at 7:01 and the doors were locked and there were 3 guys in the store still. They refused to let me buy the part. They were still in the parking lot when I left. This is my friend's only vehicle and he has a pregnant girlfriend at home. Terrible customer service. So much for the Christmas spirit.

Very good auto parts store..The usually have what I need, and if not, they can order it.

Really nice employees! They helped me find the right battery for my car key fob and even replaced it for me on the spot. I didn't get his name but the man with the curly hair was very helpful and friendly.

**Update: New manager seems to have taken down the open sign. Not sure if it's a new company policy, or so customers don't bother him. Either way it makes it very hard to tell when the store is open. It seems all the best employees have gone. Not sure why the owners have allowed their store to go downhill so quickly, but we definitely won't be back now. Have been using this store for years! Usually the staff is amazing and helpful. It appears the excellent manager they used to have moved, and unfortunately the new manager is definitely not good. He embodies every bad parts store meme you've ever seen. Still absolutely love the regular guys that have been there a while, they are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful! My husband and I were traveling from Minot to Mayo in Rochester. We were about 30 miles out of Grand Forks (to the west) when our engine light came on and our car started misfiring. We looked online and saw that the only auto parts store still open in Grand Forks was Autozone. The store was closing at 9:00pm and GPS said we were to arrive at 8:53pm. We got there at 8:55pm and were still greeted with smiles and immediate assistance from Brock and Ryan! They were both so incredibly helpful and patient! We weren’t entirely sure what we needed, but they walked through issues with us, and got the parts we all agreed we needed.
