This place is dishonest. Yeah they fixed my car… but charged me 1,700 for an aftermarket catalytic converter. As soon I started asking questions they turned aggressive, mind you I was super calm. When asked about the core charge they said they weren’t getting one. I asked to have the old converter and they said they couldn’t give it to me because of regulations, which I understand. They said legally they have to scrap it. I asked how much the scrap price would be and they said they might get $25 out of it. Even though the Internet suggests a $100-$300 scrap value. I asked to reduce the bill by $25, since that’s what they said the scrap value of my old converter was, they wouldn’t oblige me. No itemized receipt, no warranty. Ave’s Auto Repair has been nothing but fabulous. The customer service is amazing. They answer the phone every time, easy to work with, quick and are very knowledgeable. I took my 2021 Ford Explorer in for a blind spot and cross traffic sensory going off like crazy. Took it to Bill Estes Ford first and all the tech did was clear the code and said that the system must have glitched during an update. Despite Ford being able to see that my car sensory had been going off for over 60days. When I picked my vehicle up from Ford the sensory started going off 2 hours later. Awesome have been nothing but fabulous with both of my trucks since I moved here from Evansville! The shop knows what they are doing and are good at it! I recommend them for any automotive work that is needed!
