Great gentlemen working there, made it so easy to rent a car

They gave me a car that smelled like cigarette smoke and mentioned that it is already in their system. This was the only mid sized car they had and we needed one so we took it. Fast forward to return time and I get a letter stating that the car smells and that they will charge me for it. This location does not answer their phones and return calls to rectify this issue. I will not be renting with Avis again. Edit: I was able to get in touch with the location and they were able to help me out. 4 stars!

How does anyone get a hold of this location? I call them and they immediately don't answer the phone and I get transferred To the avis call center and then the avis call center tries To transfer me to This location and Even the call center said every Time, they try to transfer me to this location.It immediately gets hung up So they. Said they're making a case on this location about not answering customers Phone calls let alone the call center can't even get a hold of them So how does anyone get ahold of this place?Because i'm trying to get a car for uber And i'm currently in an avis uber vehicle they just told Me three weeks ago to weigh my options in a couple So I'm just calling around to see who has what inventory.Because I do not want electric vehicle I just want to know what they have

Avis rental experience has been very enjoyable with competitive pricing!!!

Made a reservation through their website, paid full in advance, only to be called the morning of my planned trip that they don’t have cars, and there’s over 33 other “reservations” ahead of me, and I have to wait for someone to return their car early “literal words”. When questioned that, they answered “it is what it is”. Did not offer to find alternatives in other locations. Couldn’t refund my money, instead I had to make an extra call to their 1800 to get the refund. All of that, in the morning of my planned trip. One star is for their courtesy call informing me they don’t have cars. 1800 customer service on the phone was nice, and offered to help finding a car in a different location but I had already booked with another company.
