This place is great. I'd been in the market for a jet ski for a little while when I ran across Highland's having one listed. The market is crazy right now and these don't stay in stock so I called and talked to Dan. He assured me he had some due in but couldn't give me a date. Supply Chain and trucking industries are crazy now as well, so I understood. He said he would reach out to me when they arrived. Maybe a month later that call comes! Dan wanted to make sure I was still interested and said they would put the ski together same day if I wanted to come pick it up. That's what happened. The only thing that was a pain, they only take cash or bank checks for down payments. I didn't find this out until that same day it would be ready. I bank with an online bank and can't turn cash that fast

Overall great motorcycle dealer. Excellent gear selection, and friendly staff. 4 stars because they only service Yamaha products.

I purchased a Yamaha R1 from Dan recently. This was the only 2022 model in stock in IL (from Yamaha's website inventory) and they let it go for MSRP, which was nice to know given what's going on with supply chain. I had intended on taking advantage of Yamaha's 0% APR financing rate, which I qualified for during my visit. When I came back to pickup the bike 10 days later (due to weather), I was told that Yamaha did away with that promotion and that it was 2.9% now. I was a bit furious given that I could have picked up the bike the day I was approved, had I known the rates are variable. Yamaha had this promotion for the last 18 months and decided to remove it just now - convenient. Back to back bad experiences. I've held this store to a high regard because they've been great. But my most recent visits have not all been that well. I went to the store to pick up some motorcycle maintenance items, oil, filter and some rear brakes. First red flag, price difference in brakes from online price to in store price, when I asked why the price difference and if i could get the online price, was told I had to only order online. Doesn't make sense to me, so I figure whatever it's only a price difference of $5. Red Flag 2, I ask for an oil filter with a socket wrench topping, makes the oil change 10x easier, the older gentleman than helps me tell me he'll look for it and that it would cost me $16-$17. Bought a cool NOS motorcycle from these folks back on a nice couple days in March. They had it ready for me to take home almost immediately so I was able to get it home on that nice day. Been enjoying cruising around but came back to do a review based on the customer service I got. Wish I could give 10 stars. Let me know the ins and outs of the bike without being condescending or weird. Just normal people over there at Highlands! This place has a ton of gear, especially winter gear and I noticed lots (compared to other stores) of ladies leathers as well as rain gear.
