I recently visited this Avis location and was incredibly impressed by the team’s performance. I watched them manage phone calls and key handovers while efficiently juggling the cleaning and immediate turnaround of vehicles for waiting customers. Seeing this level of coordination made it clear to me why reservation times are so important. The staff demonstrated exceptional commitment and served as outstanding ambassadors for Avis. Despite the challenges that can arise between franchise operations and corporate policies, this team worked amazingly to ensure every customer was taken care of. If I could give less than one star, I would! This place charged us a mysterious charge with no explanation approximately 6 weeks after we returned the rental car. The first car they rented us broke down in the middle of the fast lane on the highway. We were told not to worry about refueling that vehicle and to try to get it to a nearby location as it would be over four hours before they could get someone to us. Title: Reserved one car, given something completely different Review text: Reserved a specific vehicle class with Avis, but at pickup I was given a completely different car that did not match what I booked. The car I received was inferior in space/comfort/features and did not meet the needs I planned this rental around. There was no real effort to find a comparable vehicle or to meaningfully acknowledge the inconvenience this caused. Posting this so Avis corporate can see how reservations are being handled at this location. If Avis wants to retain loyal customers, it needs to stop this kind of bait-and-switch behavior and ensure locations either honor the reserved class or clearly communicate and compensate when they cannot.

DO NOT RENT FROM AVIS — SCAM ALERT Avis falsely accused me of damaging a windshield and charged me $600 for damage I did not cause. The vehicle was returned without issue, no damage was pointed out at drop-off, and yet days later they suddenly “found” windshield damage and billed me anyway. This is not an accident and it’s not rare. Numerous customers report the exact same thing: damage claims appearing after the car is returned, vague or nonexistent proof, and a corporate system designed to make disputing charges nearly impossible. I reserves a vehicle over a month in advance, and when I called to confirm 48 hours before pickup, the worker casually informed me that "it's not looking good", which I clarified with him. He said they had 60 reservations and 20 cars. In short, they're happy to take an interest free loan (prepayment), ruin your plans, and just kind of blame it on you for reserving with them in the first place. Not a mistake I will make again, and I recommend that you don't either. The company is fraudulent.
