Avis Car Rental

The staff here is always so friendly and helpful!! The cars a very clean compared to other locations during my travels. Shout out to the Caribbean guy that typically runs the site! His attention to detail and kind and welcoming demeanor is a bonus! It's always a pleasure to deal with this location. Keep up the great service!

I brought my car back with a full tank, they never sent me the email stating my return was completed. When I checked my CC a week later I saw they charged me an $18 fill-up fee(gas). Utter BS. Esp. when I have a photo showing the gas gage at full.

Reservation was made five months prior to pick up. Pick up was for 7/18/25 - 7/22/25 (return) at Orange City, FL. Vehicle was not available due to a recall but we never received that information until we arrived to the office. The manager informed us he had not seen the vehicle we reserved for months due to the recall. We get to the office and we had to get a downgrade which was provided for the same price which is not right. I spent hours at the office calling other rental offices nearby. I called Priceline and Avis and did not get much assistance. I was told that a guaranteed adjustment will be provided by Avis and I never received it. I had to call and that is when I finally got an adjustment but I should have gotten the total amount refunded.

We reserved a car two weeks in advance. We showed up at the rental time, and we were told they had no cars available. You would think they would have reached out to let us know, but no, they decided to let us come in and waste our time. We had to drive out to Orlando Airport because it's the closest place with a large SUV.

Gave me an EV even though no where on my reservation said it was an EV. Told me there were chargers near by. The nearest charger was 30 minutes away from me. Customer service wasn't good at all. This was a poor experience all around.
