Avis Car Rental

I’ve had mixed experiences here. On the one hand, when I *do* get a car, the staff are helpful and the cars are in good shape. Easy peasy. Other times, I’ve shown up and had no record of my reservation, despite booking directly from Avis. Last time I tried to rent, I called 3 times during weekday business hours, and nobody answered the phone. I’d definitely say the reliability is lacking here.

I would like to thank the agent atthe Avis counter for his help in allowing me to make my flight. I had accidentally returned rental key to dropbox (4:30am branch not open yet) but realized i had left my backpack with IDs etc locked in the rental car. I called the listed number fully mentally preparing myself to miss the flight and stay another day. Avis agent called back about 10min later just in time to help guide airport security to unlock the office areas and get the key to the dropbox and allow me to get my backpack out of the car. Best of all, I didn’t even rent my car from Avis - i rented it from Ace but one agent appears to be covering for both which i am very glad for. Most helpful car rental agency and branch i have come across.

0 STARS! This particular Avis Car Rental location is a NIGHTMARE. Poorly managed, incompetent communication, lack of urgency and evidently the employees take your returned vehicle on joy rides on your dollar! I dropped off a car 24 hrs of renting it. I trusted the employee upon drop off when they assured me I was good to go. However, days later found out it was never properly logged by the staff there. Days later I received countless emails, text messages and even a letter in the mail stating the car was overdue and needed to be returned immediately. I alerted Avis right away that something was VERY WRONG. Its beens weeks of calls made to customer service and corporate. Weeks later, come to find they finally found the car in Bangor! No one knows how it got there! Avis corporate can't even

Trying to get a hold of location to confirm rental. Have left several messages no return calls and a very stressful situation since we have to travel a long way to get to PSQ...there should always be back up for a corporate company.

This company don't like me . Every time I show up they don't even bother to take my name and they never have service for me. What are they thinking? What are they doing? If you don't have service please give the person something that show caring. It is frustrating when you see trucks outside but they are not " available"
