Avis Car Rental

Terrible experience. I reserved a 7 person SUV 3 weeks in advance for my daughter's wedding day tomorrow. I arrived to pick it up and they informed me there were none available. Could only offer a smaller vehicle, which of course was useless to me. Offered no other help and then wanted to argue with me on why I was so upset. To top it off there was a large SUV available at the local airport rental, good customer service would have been to get the large SUV that was available at the airport to this office for me. I ended up renting the one at the airport and they wouldn't even give it to me for the same price as the original booking. At no point did anyone inform me in advance of an issue or acknowledge my request to speak to a manager.

Gave me a car with completely bald rear tires. Nearly wrecked when I hit rain / wet roads. Incredible feeling when on a warm sunny day you suddenly feel like you’ve hit ice. Had to have the car put on a flatbed and exchanged. Absolutely irresponsible on their part to give out a car that is not road legal. Moral of this story is to make sure you look at the tires on the car they give you and not assume that they would actually do their job. UPDATE 5/23: Called Avis (corporate) to ask for a refund of the rental. Their best offer was to knock a day off the rental which amounts to $84 back on what ended up as a $320 rental. Great prices, but non-airport locations don't have a great selection of cars, and there's ALWAYS a smell. That's just rentals, I guess, nothing against this location particularly. Counter staff was quick and friendly.

I rented a car from the webster avis for 2 weeks. It was very quick in and out the door and they also let me renew it a few times. Would recommend👍

Our car was stolen and we called to book a car. The person on the phone quoted me a great rate and said we had it reserved but we had to wait for it to get cleaned. When we called later to check if the cleaning was finished, a new person answered the phone and said he had no reservation and the price we were quoted wasn't available. Very frustrating, terrible customer service, would not use again.
