The location is very convenient and the vehicle selection is solid. I was glad I arrived early, as I secured my reserved car while some others weren't as lucky. However, the pick-up process was sub-par; despite checking in, it took over an hour to get my vehicle due to a Sunday rush and a clear bottleneck in car preparation. On the bright side, the drop-off was seamless—I just handed over the keys and received my receipt via email instantly.

I’ve been renting with Avis consistently for over three+ months now due to frequent work travel, and I honestly couldn’t be happier. The customer service is truly top-tier from start to finish. From the owner, Marie, to every single employee, the level of professionalism, friendliness, and care is unmatched. They always go above and beyond to make the process smooth, easy, and stress-free, which makes a huge difference when you’re constantly on the road. Because of the outstanding service and reliability, I will always choose Avis for my rental needs. The team at this location was very kind, and I truly feel for them, as it sounds like they deal with this situation regularly. However, I arrived with a confirmed reservation as a President’s Club member, only to be told there were zero cars available. I was informed that this location does not keep backup inventory, and that the Tampa International Airport location takes priority and can pull vehicles from this branch’s fleet. As a result, if cars are not returned on time, customers here are simply out of luck. While I ended up with a car. I would strongly caution others against relying on this branch if your travel plans are time sensitive. Corporate should reevaluate the allocation of cars between this branch and TPA, you are putting this local team in very unfavorable situations!

This is the worst Avis location I’ve ever dealt with. I gave them three chances. The first time, the car wasn’t cleaned out and the trunk was full when I picked it up. Then they tried to charge me an extra $200 cleaning fee when I returned it. The second time, they entered the wrong mileage and I ended up being charged an extra $300 in mileage fees. This last time, I returned the car yesterday at 11 a.m., but they marked it as a late return and said I brought it back at 9 a.m. the next day, which is completely wrong. Do not trust this location. I learned my lesson and will never rent from here again. Now, I have to fight with customer service to try to prove I dropped off on the correct date. Let me start by saying my review has nothing to do with the staff. I would rate them 5 stars and feel sorry they have to deal with the management of this Avis location. I had rented a minivan from here about 2 months before the actual rental date. The day before I get a call from a friendly gentlemen asking if I could come get my car at 10:30am or later for an 8:30am rental. I said if by 10:30 that would be fine. Before I headed over the next day I called at 10am and a super sweet woman answered and said the car wasn’t there yet but she would call the airport (where the car is coming from) and give me an ETA.
