Big O Tires

Had a blowout on the highway and while waiting for service called around for a set of new tires. Not only did Big O have the best price, he helped me evaluate differences between tires and took the time to tell me to get a new set of tire lug nuts, as they are the kind to swell. Need to replace with carbon steel when I get them rotated. Brandon is very knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend them.

I was in Ames for a conference and had to head home in a couple of hours. I noticed that one of my tires was very low, so drove the car to Big O. Although they had a full shop, they fit my car in and were able to fix my tire within an hour or so. The staff was very friendly and the waiting area was clean and comfortable. I had a bad experience at Big O Tires. I was told the repair would take about 2.5 hours, and based on that estimate, the price was set very high. However, the job was finished in just 1 hour, yet I was still charged the full amount with no adjustment or proper explanation and the labor charge is very high than any other Auto care.This felt misleading and unfair. If the work takes much less time than quoted, the pricing should reflect that. I expected honesty and transparency, but unfortunately did not get it. I won’t be returning and do not recommend this location.

the guys here did a great job on my alignment. they were able to get me in the next day after calling and had it done in 2 hours for a good price. highly recommend!

Great quality service! Everyone was friendly, and the work was done very quickly. I went in December when the parking lot had been recently covered in snow, and they were understanding of the fact that I was struggling to park my car and got it into the garage without a problem. They aired up my tires for free and had me out of there in about 10 minutes! Would recommend!
