Brakes Plus

These guys are great. My BMW X5 told me that I needed to service my brake fluid, but after taking a look, these guys said the fluid was clean and didn't need to be flushed - and even went so far as to say that they didn't feel comfortable taking my money when no service was needed! So after resetting my alerts, I was on my way...no charge!! Kudos to this Brakes Plus team for being upfront about what my car really needed (or in this case, didn't need). I'll be back next time I really need the car serviced.

I had the rear brakes replaced on my 2022 VW Taos. The GM Gilbert Fransua at this location took great care of us. He diagnosed the issue immediately on our arrival, outlined our options and promised to complete the repair in two hours. I was especially impressed that he assured me that the front brakes were fine and the rear rotors did not need to be replaced. A less reputable shop might have tried to run up the cost. The repair was completed in 90 minutes, well before promised, and at a very reasonable cost despite using premium Bosch pads. The total cost was $650 less than the quote from the local VW dealer.

Huge thanks to the team at Brakes Plus on Wadsworth Bypass in Arvada for turning a stressful situation into a great experience. We were heading up I-70 for a family vacation to Breckenridge when my rear passenger-side tire spacer failed. Out of five lug nuts, only two were still holding on—and they were rounded and close to coming off. We managed to temporarily pull the wheel back to the hub, but there was no way it was making it back to Thornton, let alone 50+ miles of uphill twists on I-70. To make matters worse, I didn’t have a 22mm deep socket to remove the damaged spacer and install the spare. We stopped at Discount Tire, and while they couldn’t help, they pointed us across the street to Brakes Plus. We carefully limped the wobbling truck over. Within minutes, the Brakes Plus team

Got us safe and even found a problem outside of their scope; made a recommendation to another shop and got us safely to our full repair. Between their work and guidance we’re back on the road and feels like better than ever.
