If I could give this facility zero stars, I would. I strongly discourage anyone from placing a loved one here unless they are comfortable with chronic understaffing and residents being left without assistance for extended periods of time. The turnover among qualified nursing staff is rampant. Employees are expected to manage an extreme workload, which inevitably leads to burnout. Staff simply cannot keep up with the demands placed on them, as there are not enough hours in the day to complete the required work safely or effectively. Family complaints appear to be frequent and numerous, to the point that the facility cannot adequately keep up with addressing them. This establishment is woefully understaffed and not capable of providing the care they are all too eager to bill for. Their only responsiveness was to alert us that they needed to bill us more for the care they were barely able to provide, if at all. One of my parents went unbathed for nearly two weeks. Their staff was regularly unable to assist with daily needs such as teeth brushing, bathing, transfers, eating assistance or general support requests. The community leadership spoke of correcting these situations, but all too often, we heard from our parents that the support staff did not have time to allow them to brush their teeth or wash their face. Brighton Gardens took my Dad into their Assisted Living facility under difficult circumstances and welcomed him. Over the past few months, I have really appreciated the care staff who take the time to call me regularly with updates. They let me know not only if there is an issue to deal with, but also contact me when things are going well. I have been helped when I've needed to find a doctor, audiologist, buy a new hospital bed,etc. As I live outside the USA, this has all made it much easier to care for my Dad from a distance. UPDATE May 2025 sadly, the initial positive experience wasn’t to last. Both of my parents were cared for at Brighton Gardens (pre & post pandemic) and we had a wonderful experience. The caregivers to the cleaning staff treated them with kindness and care throughout their stay. It was easy to reach the administrative staff for anything we needed also. I was kept informed at all times for any issues or health concerns that arose. Appreciated the time taken by the staff to help me with appointments and lining up special requests. Trusting your parents to a community is a hard decision and I feel very grateful to Brighton Gardens for all they have done for me and my family!

My husband was in the memory care section of Sunrise. The entire staff was hard working and compassionate. In the short amount of time he lived there the staff really got to know him so well and treated him so kindly.
