Brighton Gardens of Mountainside

My 95 year old mother lived at Brighton Gardens of Mountainside from January of 2024 until she passed in July of 2024. She had suffered a stroke in November of 2023 and my wife and I were no longer able to provide the level of care she required after her one month stay in subacute rehab. After researching and visiting facilities in the area, we decided on Brighton Gardens. My mother was apprehensive about moving into assisted living and it took her about a month to accept that she could not return home and acclimate herself to life at Brighton Gardens. My dad moved into Brighton Gardens in Mountainside in April. He has received excellent care and they keep a very close eye on him and his health. They are kind and caring, and do a great job keeping him busy and engaged. Every time I visit, I am amazed at how kind the staff is and how happy the other residents are. The peace of mind knowing he is safe and well cared for is priceless. He likes everyone there (the staff and his fellow residents) which says a lot about the management of this facility. I have such a pleasant experience coming here to visit my mother every day. Wendy is so pleasant and helpful to my mom and my mom loves the cheap polishes her nails periodically. Love you Wendy.

This place just wants your money. Do not put your family member in the memory care unit. They are good at the sales pitch and then you find out it's all lies. I wish I knew where to recommend you go, but all I know is you do not want to have your family here. I had to put one star or I couldn't post this but I would like to have the option of negative stars.

My father became a resident in July. The staff has been amazing helping him acclimate to his new home. Everyone is friendly and helpful. There are two people that stand out in his everyday care. Wendy at the front desk and Shirley his third floor caregiver have been excellent in helping him deal with his anxiety. He has three wonderful meals a day and companionship. What more could you ask for.
