Brightview Hunt Valley (Now Open) - Senior Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care

My mother's been in the memory care unit of Brightview Hunt Valley for a year and a half. I can't say enough about the expertise of the staff and quality of care that she's received. Even with such a cruel disease, she has thrived in the active lifestyle and communal environment provided at this facility. She feels safe and content, which is truly a gift.

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. Unfortunately, I have had two parents who required memory care, so I have become familiar with memory care at four facilities. Brightview Hunt Valley was the best by far. The entire staff was incredibly kind and supportive to my Mom and our family. Lilian Campbell, the Director of the memory care unit, does an amazing job managing the unit and setting the expected quality of care with the staff. She leads by example by treating each resident with warmth and as a special individual. They seem to delight in the eccentricities of the residents, even when it makes their job harder. Would have given 5 Stars except for one glaring fault: The so-called “Transportation” offered by BrightView for medical appointments is only available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. It’s not available to Wellspring Village residents unless someone rides with them in the transport van. Further, no BrightView staff rides with them so a family member or friend must ride to BrightView to accompany the Wellspring Villager to the medical appointment and back. Finally, even when a family member or friend DOES make a medical appointment for a Wellspring Village resident, even when the family member or friend DOES drive to BrightView to ride with the Wellspring Villager, the scheduled ride may and will be rescheduled at the last minute, as happened to me yesterday. Our consultant from Levindale helped us find Brightview, and my mom‘s only been in memory care for a few days, but they made the transition on her and the family as best as possible enough for me to post a review this early on! 10 out of 10 customer service for transitioning! 8/11/25-I had to add to my review after our six month meeting, and I am very impressed with the director of the memory care facility as well as nursing, all of the important positions are filled with quality professionals that have incredible abilities, and beautiful hearts! A very tough situation made the best as possible!

My family moved my mom into memory care (Wellspring Village) at BV - Hunt Valley six months ago. It was an unanticipated event as my dad, her primary caregiver, died suddenly. Since settling in, my mom can only repeat how much she loves living there. From my perspective, all members of the staff are caring, personable, and have taken the time to really get to know her (and every resident). It really made me feel good when my mom said - after Thanksgiving dinner at my house with my whole family - ‘OK, I’m ready to leave now, please take me home’. She was ready to go back to Wellspring Village, the place she considers to be her new home. She is active, thoughtfully engaged in activities, safe, and loved there.
