Budget Car Rental

Unbelievable! I had a reservation with Budget to pick up a car at 4:30 on Thursday. The reservation was prepaid and had been in place for days. A few hours before I was going top pick the car up, the manager called and told me that they did not have a car for me. I ask if they understood what a prepaid reservation was but he really didn't care. Just wanted to tell me they didn't have one and couldn't help. I was then given a number that didn't work but I was able to google a customer service number and talked to someone else. After two minutes with him, he acknowledges that they had made a mistake and put me through to his supervisor. The next supervisor listened and then ask for two minutes to find a solution. Well, after two minutes his solution was -- wait for it-- a full refund in 5-7

Absolutely Terrible Experience We reserved a one-way rental with Budget in Anniston, AL two days in advance for a trip to PBI Airport. We drove 45 minutes to pick it up, and right as we pulled into the parking lot, they called to say they didn’t have ANY vehicles available. No warning. No solution. When I asked if there were other locations that could help, the employee was rude, unhelpful, and basically told me to “try calling around” on my own. Zero customer service, zero effort. DO NOT USE BUDGET. They will absolutely ruin your trip.

I should have canceled as soon as I found these bad reviews, but I held onto the hope that all the people with good reviews experiences just didn’t take the time to leave a review. NOPE! Got there to pick up my rental car and didn’t even get an apology, just a “We don’t have anything for you.” I even called twice and this week after reading these reviews to make sure they had my reservation and would have a car for me. Terrible customer service. I don’t know how they’re still open after this happening to so many people.

Made a reservation for 12/13 pickup on 12/6 . Unfortunately, I received a phone call on 12/12 around 8 am to let me know they did not have the vehicle I requested nor a van. This is not the first issue I have encountered at this location. A customers reservation that was made days in advance and cancelled the day before is unacceptable. Budget should truly work on rebuilding their vision, mission and values statements to ensure customer satisfaction is taken from a 2-star rating to a 4/5 rating. Don’t let the competition down the street or 30 minutes down the road continue winning over your lost customers.

I am leaving one star because that is the lowest possible- would leave ZERO stars if I could. I went to pick up my car early but found a note in rainbow writing saying that “ NO CARS AVAILABLE & could get a refund by calling a 1-800 number. Apologies for inconvenience.” Really? I then received a phone call at 1:44 pm saying that they didn’t have any cars available- so my thought is what was the point in calling me? It was way past the time I was supposed to pick up - why bother?!? I was not offered a discount on future booking or incentive for the inconvenience- they do not take your travels seriously or care about customer service- awful experience! I went down the street to Enterprise and walked away fully satisfied in under 10 minutes & they gave us a discount for just coming to them! S
