Budget Car Rental

We rented a car from Budget online. There was no mention of restricted hours at all. Our flight got in after 11:30pm. The rental car desk closed at 8 pm. We stood in the rain in 40 degree temperatures trying to get a taxi. The first 2 refused us because they were called to pick up someone else. The 3rd one took us to our motel. We called Budget the next morning to get a car. They said our reservations were cancelled because we did not show up. We ask to rent a new car and they said they had no cars for the entire week. Terrible service!

If I could give a negative review I would! No one was manning the desk, I had to call some guy’s cell number, leave a voicemail, and wait for someone to call me back and tell me they have no cars available despite me having a reservation made through their direct website. The whole process was completely unprofessional! Don’t bother with renting with this Budget. Save yourself the hassle and book elsewhere.

What a disaster. We booked what was already an exorbitantly priced car from them. The check-in time was 6am. We arrived after their supposed 2 he grace period, something they did not email or share in advance besides a small printed placard at the desk. It's also unprecedented to operate this way in my experience. When we arrived, they had given the car away! The only option we had was a 50% more expensive car from Avis. Needless to say, we won't be booking with Budget again, and filing a complaint with BBB and Budget corporate.

Don’t rent from here!!! It’s pointless to have a reservation and their customer service is terrible. They didn’t hold my reservation and said I was 2 hours late and didn’t call. They were closed when my flight arrived, didn’t answer the phone when I called to let them know of my late arrival or bothered to return my call after leaving a message. .Every rental car company was open when I arrived but budget. Don’t waste your time and money. I was left without due to all other agencies being booked. Avis even said I don’t want to give away my reservations like they did.

I waited more than an hour to pick up my rental. No... Not kidding. Budget has a contract with the State, so all state employees recieving a rental in Juneau go through budget. There were only about 4-5 people in front of me. Still took over an hour. Only 1 person at the desk who couldn't find the required forms. The couple behind me switched rental car companies, but I couldn't. When I did get the car, it was a really nice one though. It was so fancy I didnt know how to put it in gear at first. Had I not just waited 80 minutes in line, I would asked for something smaller. Turned out alright in the end, but service really matters hence 3/5.
