Budget Car Rental

Budget Rent-A-Car is a scam! I rented a 15 passenger van for less than 24 hours. Total cost of the rental was $149.00 picked the van up at 1 PM on December 20th returned it on December 21 at 11 AM I had the van for less than 24 hours drove approximately 60 miles total. Apparently, the manager named Becky did the contract and completely overcharged by a ridiculous amount. For less than 24 hours, my total came to $668.57. She stated on my receipt that I drove 1103 miles. This is a complete lie and scam! Went in to talk to the person working at budget today December 26th and she told me she can’t help me only the manager named Becky can help me, which is so convenient for budget since I’m leaving on Monday and will not be able to deal with the situation face-to-face! I'll be honest Randi was great. Super easy to get through the paperwork. Quick, efficient and friendly. Sounds generic but its actually true for my experience at this Budget rental in Ogden. Kudos!

I was there in Nov of 2025 and although the location was a little confusing to get to, when I did find it, the staff was very friendly. The car i rented was clean and spacious. What I did not understand is why I was asked to vacuum the car before returning it. We have older kids, so it wasn't dirty, but still not something I want to do after a long trip. I would rent from here again.

I rented from this location on two occasions because the first rental didn’t feel right. Both required me to do an overnight drop-off. For my first rental, the woman working the counter lied and told me there was no overnight drop box and I would have to return the vehicle the next morning around 9am. When I returned the vehicle the next morning, she did a full 360 of the vehicle and checked to make sure the vehicle was filled with gas. I was given the vehicle with a quarter tank of gas at 10,475 mi. At 10,478 mi., I realized the vehicle was not filled with gas, so I took a photo of the mileage and fuel range/fuel level. The customer service woman at the business was very unfriendly and unhelpful. The car I reserved was not available and she expected me to come back next week to switch the car to a smaller car. I was notified when I showed her my ID and debit card that I would need 2 "paper" utility statements and the declaration page from my insurance. Nowhere in the rental agreement does it say that the statements have to be hard copies! I was very disappointed with the company and will not rent from them again. I don't know how this location is even able to stay in business.
