Budget Car Rental

Yesterday I ordered and paid for a car rental with budget online. Well today I showed up for 1:pm pickup. I waited there with many others and it was forever ! The woman working was great. I was going to be charged $ 78.00 at pick up no ! After long wait they needed to charge Me👇 $200.00 to drive off lot. Why??? I left after cancelling

Just make sure you call the location after you make the reservations before you waste the trip. I made a reservation a day ahead of time for 11 AM But when I went to pick up the car they told me they were sold out without even looking up my reservation even though there was a lot full of cars outside. I even spoke to the manager on the phone in the car rental place and he told me that I would have to come back after 2. But my sons had a basketball tournament out of town and I needed to be on the road by 12. I explained this to the manager and asked him if he would call another location and see if maybe they had a car available, but he told me he was too busy. I am writing you today to express my dissatisfaction with my Budget rental. I will never use Budget Rental again and will never return to rent any car from the 582 Clairton Blvd, Pleasant Hills PA location. The man working on 5/23/17 at 10am was so unprofessional. He informed me I should never make a reservation online and pay upfront because “you’ll never know what you’ll end up being charged”. He also couldn’t even take the time to clean the car. He rented me a dirty car. The car, a 2017 Chevy Malibu, was not cleaned. The front windshield was so smudged and filthy, I had to clean it myself, at home, with Windex. All 4 of the wheels did not have caps on the valve stems. All the tires should have a PSI of 32 lbs. The front driver side tire has a PSI of 24lbs. The front passenger side

The car smelled like a stale pack of newports, the passenger seat had a stain on it, inside car was gross, windshield wipers didn’t work, and when I told the man working these things when dropping off the vehicle he told me his wife cleaned the vehicle and had different “standards of clean” than he did… he also told me if I would’ve bought wipers and changed them out he would have reimbursed me … I was on a 7 hour road trip with my 9 year old son … his other advice was to call the 1800 number…I am now on hold for an hour the second time around to get no where … worst rental company I have ever used …. Highly recommended finding a different location or business to rent from and save yourself the headache .

I reserved a car and paid for it ahead of time using the online Pay Now feature. How convenient right? Save a few minutes at the counter plus they knock a few dollars off the price. Unfortunately the website doesn't state that in spite of being paid in full ahead of time that a credit check will be run if a debit card is used. If the credit check is not passed then you can not rent a car. Then you have to call customer service to get a refund and hope the cancelation fee is waived. I've recently rented a 2016 Toyota Camry from Enterprise for a week using the same card and had no issues and the customer service was very pleasant and helpful. Budget couldn't rent me a cheap compact car for a few days.
