How does this place have 3 stars? READ ALL THE REVIEWS BEFORE USING THIS PLACE. THEY ARE DOING YOU A FAVOR. The agent who works here is horrible. One person can definitely ruin your day. You won't get your car in time, so don't plan your schedule ahead when you rent from this place. He wasn't sorry when he arrived at the office 30m after my rental time began, so don't even think about getting an apology. When I returned my car, 3 hours before my allotted time, because of all the scary reviews about agent not being in office and being closed for return after 5, I was glad that I finally didn't have to talk to that unpleasant agent. But when I came back to my house, SURPRISE~ tried to scam me with additional charge. So don't let your guard down till the end

If there was an option for 0 stars, I would have given it that. The staff is completely rude and did not cater for the customers at all. Firstly, I had paid for a full size vehicle, but they did not have any so they gave me a Kia Forte and did not compensate me for that as well. I had rented the car at 9 am on 17th Aug and after that I had returned the car at the same time in 18th Aug. The guy on the counter took my keys and did not process the car immediately, and this caused an extra charged to be incurred on my card. I’ve had used budget rentals at other locations as well, and they were thoroughly professional without any such misgivings. Now I am a bit skeptic about their service.

I was overcharged by an entire day because the staff apparently "forgot" to check in the vehicle on time. The location is disorganized, with no option for after-hours returns. The employees seemed disengaged and unprofessional. As a result, my car wasn't processed until the following day, leading to over $160 in extra charges (also charged me for fuel for my EV) as well and extra day of insurance. I recommend choosing a different rental location.

Like many others have mentioned, my experience at the Washington St. Budget location was frustrating. When I dropped off my rental car, the attendant was nowhere to be found. I waited in the cold for an hour, even going up to the 10th floor (where I was told he would be, by the parking garage attendant), but he was still missing. I called the provided number multiple times with no answer. While the wait itself was frustrating, what truly bothered me was the unexpected extra charge. Despite returning the car within the allotted time period—after waiting in 35-degree weather—I was charged for an additional day. I was over charged by a full day because the dude working i guess "forgot" to enter it? I don't know but this place is a mess. No after hours returns. The people that work there seem stoned or not caring. They didn't return my car till the next day which caused me to get charged an extra day over $100 in charges. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else.
