Crooks over priced charge me over $1000 to tow a car that they knew was damaged and never said a word horrible horrible company don’t trust them… my car was stolen and this is where it was sent to and I had no idea it was in this condition. They are scum

I was extremely pleased with the repair job done at C and L of Berkeley Heights. The passenger side mirror of my Hyundai Tucson had been damaged and the repairs were top notch. No issues with anything. The mirror works properly again and you can't even tell there had been some severe damage. The staff kept me posted on any delays in getting parts. The initial estimate would be that the repairs would take a week but it took a couple days longer to get a part - not a big deal. Terrific job by everyone there.

We recently hit a deer while driving with the left front of our Ford Escape. Our insurance company uses C & L as a preferred shop so we brought our vehicle to their Berkeley Heights location. Most of the communication was handled thru their web/app but we had some communication issues with the front office. The completion date moved out by 3 days and we were notified by the car rental company as they were notified but we were not. We were told C & L tried to call my cell and it rang and rang and rang - without going to voicemail. Either they had the wrong number or they didn't call. They had the right number. UPDATE: I am adding stars as the manager did understand my frustration and got me a minivan rental for the week so we could go on vacation. Pick up was a breeze and they did seem very apologetic for the delay. ———————— I would give this zero stars if there was an option. Initially, I was unable to get an accurate estimate for my car repairs…. So they convinced me to drop the car and start asap since it would take a month to do. They gave me a date of 8/16 that would be the latest the car would be ready - which was 6 weeks out! Unfortunately, I had already left the car there… had I known I would have continued with other auto body shops. Well over estimated anticipated time to complete. They lost my key during repairs and caused further delays. Went to get the car, and the repairs look like garbage. Bumper doesn’t line up and they used cheap aftermarket parts on my IS300. They blamed the insurance company for allowing that, but the reality is they have no pride in their work. There is no chance a competent person would look at the repairs performed and be satisfied or take pride from the outcome. I am requesting the repairs be repaired by a competent shop. Avoid if you have any choice in the matter.
