Camellia Gardens Gracious Retirement Living

My mom lives at Camellia Gardens, and we couldn’t be happier with the care and attention she receives. The staff at every level — from housekeeping to dining services to administration — are kind, patient, and genuinely caring. They treat residents with warmth and respect, and it truly shows. The community also hosts wonderful events and holiday celebrations that my mom looks forward to and enjoys so much. It gives her a real sense of connection and joy. We’re very grateful for the thoughtful environment they’ve created and would absolutely recommend this community to anyone looking for a welcoming place to live.

My mother moved in here in December and at first, I thought the place was decent. The staff seemed friendly and with the holiday decorations, the place seemed cheery and clean. There were a few red flags at move in. The apartment was not clean (dust and remnants of carpet installation) and the staff didn't do some minor fixes that they said they would do before move in. Come February, we've learned a lot. By all accounts, not just my mother's but additional residents and their families, the food is not very good and the meals take a long time. While I thought the place was relatively clean, in the last month there are poop smells and accompanying stains on the carpets on multiple floors. Camille Gardens has been an amazing experience for my mom. She has made wonderful caring friends. There’s something for everyone. Entertainment, bingo, crafts, movies, and gardening if you choose. The staff are very involved and always willing to help. Wonderful community, great location.
