Car-X Tire & Auto

I went to the Car-X Tire & Auto on Town Center Drive in Eagan for a mechanical issue, and the experience was outstanding. The store manager, Josh Gabranski, was incredibly helpful and took the time to thoroughly explain the problem and the recommended solution. Even though the shop was busy, they were able to fit me in almost immediately, making it feel like a walk-in visit. The repair was completed quickly and efficiently. I truly appreciate the professionalism, honesty, and prompt service I received.

Dropped the vehicle off at 8 am, no more than 15 min later they called back and said they "couldn't get a lug off" upon the return to pick up the car, they had already refunded the installation and told me to take it elsewhere?? Never heard of a tire store that can't remove wheel lugs? Less than a hour later, the tires were installed successfully at a "qualified" tire installer. Highly recommend you bring your vehicle to a actual certified tire installer and steer clear of this business.

Went there this morning for my check engine light and a problem with my catalytic converter. Spoke to Josh. He told me that it would likely cost me more than $3000 to replace it. Definitely not worth it on a nearly 20-year-old car. He did some research and found me a specialist shop that could do it. Just got it done for less than 1/10 of the price!! I HIGHLY recommend CarX, and specifically Josh, if you're looking for a kind, honest, and helpful mechanic who operates in integrity and cares about you, your vehicle, and your wallet. Absolutely would go to CarX again! Thank you, Josh!

I don't know why, but it appears this location is now closed. I guess my last visit was too good to be true. For some reason it looks like the staff from the Eagan location is working the Cottage Grove location. Oh well, I guess I need to find a new place to go for service. Huge thanks to David and Tony at CarX in Eagan! They were absolute lifesavers, staying late to quickly and efficiently handle my flat repair. Their dedication and awesome service got me safely back on the road when they easily could have turned me away. Highly recommend this dedicated team for going the extra mile!

Went in today for my 5:30 appointment for oil change and was completely shocked to find the customer service level as unacceptable. I had an issue with the Eden Prairie location (now closed) and they had sent me an email saying that my next oil change was to be done at no charge. A gentleman, Tony, said “I won’t accept this”, asked why and all he said was “he did this all the time”. The other guy working, don’t know his name was much more appropriate and called someone to see what he needed to do all the while Tony kept up his snide remarks and even said “I’m surprised that they gave the ok” when the other guy said good to go. I asked the other guy what was his name and title of Tony, only to find out he is a technician, not of any authority. I guess Tony was an acting manager during a tra
