Nothing like a panicked call from your kid saying their car is “acting weird”. And you’re 500+ miles away. A quick Google search for “car repair tiffin ohio” connected me with C.A.R.S. Tiffin. I made a quick call and Dennis set up an appointment for later in the day. After my kid finally took the car over, (“Dad, I was busy!”) I was dreading the phone call to follow. Dennis called early the next day having diagnosed a bad alternator. Parts were in stock and it could be fixed immediately. The price quoted was in line with what our normal shop would charge for the job. At noon Dennis called again…. Car fixed, good to go. I strongly believe this is the worst shop to go to and deal with. What an absolute nightmare. They had good reviews but the more I asked around after the fact, the more I found out how big of crooks these guys are known to be, unfortunately I found out after they got me. Firstly, I was looking for a shop in tiffin because that's where my wife works and I could get a ride back and forth when without a vehicle. I know a guy who works at CARS (great dude), so I figured I wouldn't get taken advantage of. I was wrong. I was only able to talk to the owner over the phone, since I couldn't be there during office hours, with my work schedule. We would leave keys in the truck, pay with card over the phone. He told me I needed new fuel lines and fuel pump, power steering and radiator hoses with flu

Horn stopped working. I checked fuses and they were good. I called CARS and they ordered my part, got me in within the same week and had fair prices. Friendly and professional staff.
