Summary: bad work that took way too long and I had to go in for a follow up because it wasn't fixed right the first time. They do not communicate when things are running behind schedule and try to get you to take sub-par fixes home. The saga: this all started back in June when I noticed a small fluid leak on my Toyota and took it in for diagnosis. I was told the transmission was bad, the fluid was leaking from a small crack, and have to replace the transmission to fix the fluid leak. We scheduled the work for when the rebuilt transmission came into the shop. I was told the replacement is a 1-2 day job so I called them on the second day to confirm pickup and they told me the transmission hadn't even arrived yet! I called back daily just to be promised over and over that "it's coming today.

Second generation owner/operator, Chris and crew are the best. No surprises, fair pricing and deliver as expected. We drive from TX border for the peace of mind.

These people are 100% honest. Tough to find in a mechanic. You are always dealing with an owner, and they understand the difference between what needs to be fixed and what you can live with. They don't over-charge and get you back on the road with no hassle. Update: Chris and his team continue to operate in a consistently helpful, honest, and transparent manner. He looked at my transmission and gave me his price, then recommended a shop that could rebuild for less than he could replace. This is why I keep going back to Cherokee Hills. Update 12/5/25: Chris and team fixed my wife's car and did it for a fraction of what they quoted, after discovering a much simpler issue upon disassembly. They could've charged me what I was expecting, but as usual chose the honest route.

Cherokee Hills has helped me with my 2016 Subaru, and my mom’s 2019 Hyundai. Top notch pros who are honest, and won’t take advantage of you. Chris, and Kelly will take care of your issue or give you the advice you need. 10/10.
