Clapham's Transmission

After through research for transmission repair & rebuild, I came across Clapham's transmission. I had AAA tow my 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS to Clapham's. AAA told me Clapham's is a reliable place - so that made taking my car there the RIGHT choice. After a few days they got my car on the lift. Jim Clapham didn't see anything wrong but did a tear down and rebuilt the transmission. Then topped off the transmission fluid - Jim said transmission fluid was LOW and he can confidently give me my car back. I picked my car up on Tuesday and the drive home was Awesome. I had a kidney doctor appt in Worcester the next day, so I took her for a real test drive. My car drove wonderfully going & coming back home. Clapham's transmission fixed my transmission issues. Very disappointed in this place when I got a call from them telling me I owed 640.00 for fixing a rear wheel bearing. I called to schedule an appointment with them to look at and diagnose if the transfer case/ rear differential was going. I also wanted them to see if there was a bad wheel bearing because some of the sounds are similar. I specifically told him on the phone "depending on what you find has a lot to weather i want any repairs done due to the age of the vehicle". So I asked him to call me before fixing anything. I even left a note in my car with my number to call. Needless to say I was never informed of what my vehicle needed for repairs and they went ahead and fixed the rear wheel bearing at 640.00! I believe that price to be outragous!I have had 2 others done in the past at 2

Jimmy got us in for a radiator leak promptly, and it was fixed promptly for a good price. He's a great guy too 👍. Highly recommended!
