Commonwealth Senior Living at Leigh Hall

My Mom has been a resident at Leigh Hall for over 8 years now. I have been very impressed with how caring some of the staff members are there. Special recognition to the Med techs April, Ashley, Jeffrey, Renee, Mr. Tory and Mr. Mayo for always being willing to help the residents. April Collins is very detail oriented and attentive to any changes in status. The Leadership Team is very active and responsive to concerns from the family. The facility is very esthetically pleasing as well. They really need more help with though, it’s a lot of work taking care of patients.

Family Day was a great celebration where we as a family had the opportunity to mingle with other family members. We were pleased to see our loved ones enjoyed the time of dancing, singing. The food served was very good to include the desert. Mr Dana and his crew did a great job. It Was a pleasure for us to see the new administrators personally

Last evening 05/26/24 there was no where near enough staff on duty. There is not enough staff on payroll. These ladies are working double shifts. The staff that WAS there WORKED. Over worked, under paid. The staff was so few last evening, the residents were not allowed to do down for dinner. They were made to eat in their rooms. The amount of money monthly the residents pay far exceeds the number of staff on duty to care for their individual needs. To see a med tech 3 times a day is not sufficient interaction. Some residents really look forward to meal time. Interaction is important. It stimulates the senses, the mind. It gives residents the opportunity to chat with others if they choose. Came in looking for a place for my father, building looked nice and clean, there was a lot of people in the front playing bingo enjoying themselves, there was some ladies in a little room off to the side getting their hair done, all the patients and staff appeared to be having a good time I sat down waiting for the wonderful and upbeat sales lady to give me a tour was approached by another staff member who introduced herself as the ARD with the biggest smile and most sweet country accent welcoming me to lee hall and asked if I've been helped she made small talk with me until it was time to tour the building in there memory unit patients was coloring and doing trivia all the staff in the unit greeted me with smiles, and the gentleman from maintenance was cracking jokes like he was an old fr

You can feel the love and compassion in the facility and that the staff enjoy working there. They are friendly and make you feel welcome. Brittany is so sweet and is such a breath of fresh air!
